The Kiplinger Washington Collection
Started by journalist W.M. Kiplinger more than 80 years ago, the Kiplinger Washington Collection is one of the largest private holdings of Washingtoniana. The extensive collection includes prints, photographs, and paintings with a focus on Washington history and the city's built environment.

Portions of the Kiplinger Collection Database are now available online and more images will be added over time. Permission may be obtained to use Kiplinger Collection images for educational and scholarly purposes. Contact collection staff for the most complete information about the online database and reproduction requests.

Located in the Lafayette Square neighborhood of Washington, DC, The Kiplinger Exhibit Hall features a timeline of 20th century history seen through the eyes of the Kiplinger Letter and other Kiplinger publications. It also displays rotating exhibits from the Collection. Visitors welcome by appointment.
